Thought you'd all like this. It sure seems to make a lot of what we are used to obsolete.

On my copy the F-35b was highlighted and I just had to click on it.
I guess the link was destroyed when forwarding it.

The "early" versions of the F-18 (like the Blue Angels F-18's) have a sound that just sounds better than anything else (aircraft) built lately. The sound alone conveys "Do not mess with me."
When they made the later, much larger, versions of the F-18, the sound changed, and not for the better. Granted, I do not think that the tone of the sounds the aircraft makes was a design consideration. (The F-14 has the most annoying tone. IMHO)

I submit the Tweet (Cessna T-37 trainer) was the most obnoxious sounding thing ever in the air. The only airplane ever made which had the ability to turn kerosene into pure noise.

If the t-37 is the worst-don't know neve heard one- then the runner up must be the Douglas A4 Sky Hawk. Hated the sound of that bird- but it was certainly dependable- and carried a huge pay load.
Another obnoxious sounding plane was the F2 Banshee.
