Hi, if I recall someone indicated that x number of turns on the pork chop
adjusting bolt equaled x number of inches ride height adjustment. Does
someone have that number handy. I looked through the gmcmh info sites and
could not come up with it. I know it is a rough estimate but I need to lower
my ride height now.

Thanks,

Gary Worobec

Gary,
On most 23 footers. four or five turns equaled one inch. On twenty six
footers, it took eight and ten turns.
These are my experiences with one ton kits.
I don't think there is a one for all set adjustment.

As noted by Manny, the one-ton front end requires more turns to vary the height. This is because the wider front end stance gives the lower control arm more mechanical advantage against the torsion-bar.

I needed to increase the pork-chop setting to regain the proper ride height after installing the one-ton.

Just my farm-boy mechanic/engineering experience.

Thanks Manny, You are correct. The number of turns will vary with the 1 ton
kit vs. the stock suspension. I'm going to get to it later today and let you
know what I found.
