I plan to use my coaches' valuable display space (bumpers & rear window) to promote the GMC and the Co-op. I'm not keen on the luggage-sticker look.

Does the FMCA plaque buy me anything? I'm guessing that like so many other memberships, my card and $6 gets me a cup of coffee at Starbucks and a bunch of junk mail. Do I leave it at home? Throw it on the dash?

FMCA gave a free beer can cooler/insulator with their name on it one time. I did have the plaque displayed on my coach. In fact I did not even have my coach at that rally. I wonder where mine is?

We have our's on the rear window. My thinking is: should I break down, an SOB comes by who is a member, he sees it and stops. I certainly would stop to help an sob if I could see his FMCA number. Well, I mite stop anyway , but some mite not stop for me unless they saw it. We don't display the front one. Some campgrounds will give you a couple of bux off a nite's stay also.

RC,

The plaque itself doesn't get you anything, however, you need to be a member of FMCA to be a member of the GMC clubs.

Quite a few RV parks give a FMCA discount. If you're a Good Sam member you can get a discount too. Unfortunately you can't get both,
at least that's my experience.

Rob M.

Rob,

You can usually get that same discount with a AAA card. But still, they never let you stack them.....

Laughing I must say that it is great having friends like you Ken. Don't forget to put that tracker in the GMC before you and Laurie head to Dothan.

In the early years a vinyl F number was available and I mounted on the
front roof AC unit.

When I sold the coach, I pulled the tag off but the sun had 'burned' the
numbers into the cover. A subsequent owner was able to locate me thru
FMCA and I was able to record the owner history since my sale and
I used this as an opportunity to transfer all the coach records to the
Current owner.

Perhaps another plus to mounting the F numbers on your GMC. Dave

Jim, we are the same age but my FMCA number is F10324. I got it in 1973 when I was 30.
