I had a good Blue Ox tow bar and sold it along with my previous coach. Now that I have another coach, I need something to pull my 2004 Jetta. Anybody have one they want to part with?

Stick,

Did you try working Craig's List or setting E-bay to look locally?
I have bought and sold them both ways.

Matt

Matt - not yet. I have had a search on Ebay for a year or so for the base plate to fit my Jetta. The only thing that ever comes up is a new one. They are sort of pricey, but might have to go that way. I need to do a search for the tow bar.

I just went through a similar search process, looking for a base plate for my Jeep Cherokee (and a tow bar to match, of course). I used a nationwide search tool that pulls up all the craigslist ads nationwide, and kept an eye on Ebay as well. It's just hard to find something that specific, though I finally did. In fact, the tow bar (a Blue OX Aventa Class III Tow Bar, with the Blue Ox base plate) just arrived from Maryland a few days ago ($359 delivered for the whole shebang). But it took weeks to find everything. I could have found a local tow bar easily enough, but the base plate was difficult, and you'll probably have to turn over some rocks to find one.

And ironically, a few days later I'm in the process of buying a "road trip car" (a silver Volvo V40 wagon) that my wife decides would look MUCH better behind our silver GMC than our green Jeep, and asks me why we don't make that our toad... sigh... (it's an automatic, so that's not gonna happen).

Yeah, I have one I used one time to tow a VW pick up from Alabama to Houston. In storage out of the weather, no rust. I also have the cables that should be attached. Price $100 + shipping..........Thx, Michael at Gemrecs
