I too need some advice on removing my window to to make the door 5 inchs wider. The troubles we make for ourselves. Bob Dunahugh

Size your bedroom window, that will be the new size of the large window, hopefully that will make the door large enough.  If not, size it to the door window.  That way, sizing and moving the window will also locate your door jam at the same time.  In the end, your window size must be set up to accept whatever window is available.  Now make the door to fit that hole.  You can do this if you have a plasma cutter and MIG welder.  Good luck,

Wouldn't it be wise to have the CAD drawing in mind with reference to the
frame members then pick some logical location to add a stringer down the
side to which the door will be attached. Esthetically, I would think
getting a bedroom window in that location would seem best and then have
another bedroom window in the place of the large one. Of course, this is
going to require grafting of some skin. What a project! Doable with the
right tools.

Sure, a CAD drawing would be nice-- maybe but what will it tell me I won;t find out doing the job.  Time and work like that is $ which adds to the cost of the project.  "On the fly" is how to do most of this stuff, yes there will be bonding panels-- we can do it...
