FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS
IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE THEM
--- THEY HAVE NOT BEEN DONE--
The GMC front wheel bearings have to be , checked, lubricated, replaced,
rebuilt
- every 25K to 30K miles. All of our vendors (only) can do this
SOME THINGS TO CONSIDER
- the zerk - the Lenzi mod will get you 100K without removing the knuckles
again.

- the final answer (forever) is the ONE TON MOD II ( 4 bolt modular
bearings, plus everything else is replaced :>)

I've been struggling with going new. The first filter I use when looking at mods is "does it make maintenance easier and is there value added". Forever, I have simply had remachined hubs and knuckles available, we knew what to do to make them right and have simply stayed on the narrow path. Now that we have installed a 1 ton set up I feel this mod does actually make maintenance of the coach easier. Most any mechanic will know how to service the bearing set. After the mod, ball joints are bolt in and the mod will not wear. The bearing is a bolt in pack making all the rest of machining hubs and knuckles and all that unnecessary so yea, it's pretty cool. One drawback is initial expense but just like the quad bag susyem, after closing your eyes and writting the check-- life is so much better so yea-- I think I agree with you. Still though, don;t get me involved with those other mods-- lets take it slow, I'll bite for the 1 ton-- from there
we'll go a bit slower...

i would like to ditto the ditto with misiiltoe,
how much and how do i get this 100 K upgrade, is it a drill bit mold you buy and drill it yourself
or do you send it in and wait for it to come back? I now have a bearing puller, i just need to get my bearings from some where
and drill this angle hole i suppose to be able to grease it up. is there another way to lubricate this and what bearings and seals
do i need to get. I get the idea that no matter what i should do, the bearings - i am not sure when they were done last, so do them anyway
so i am covered for at least 25K. any response will be a christmas present thank you
i have no wheel noise.

I think JimK might loan you the tool for a deposit.
I would suggest you use Valvoline Synpower or Mobil 1 grease. Synpower has the advantage of containing moly, however, the down side
is you can't see any metal in the old grease when you squirt new grease in which you can do with Mobil 1.
Along with your bearing tool you will need one of the small flat tools to position the inner seal properly with the knuckle off the
vehicle:

got in the bearings, or both? Double Trouble has zerks and this past summer I squirted fresh Mobil 1 into the bearings until I got
