I am in the process of replacing the headliner in the GMC. I have the 110V feed coming up to feed the A/C and front fan.
But...there is a 110V wire going from the box on the ceiling back down to the Converter. The WHITE wire is grounded to the Converter box and the BLACK wire is hooked to the "cold"? side of the 12V fuse block. Why would this wire be picking up a feed on the ceiling when there is 110V back where it goes?
What could be the purpose of this wire? I would like to eliminate it as it takes up room in the box on the ceiling.
Thank you for any help.

Harry,

The wiring diagrams for most years are published at Bdub's. I could look it up in my set, but I don't know what year coach you have. (It isn't in your sig.)

This pair you are talking about make no sense.
Unless, it was originally there to power a 12V fan, but someone tried to "repurpose" it.
Vent fans - like Fantastic Fans are typically 12V.

That's my best guess.

Matt

This is a wire that has been added by a PO.
I think I'll remove it and carry on with the new headliner.
If something doesn't work, I can wire it the same way down in the electrical room.
