The blurb on one of those cordless sets (under $200) said the 4AA cells
in each light were good for 2 hours. That's 8 AA cells every 2 hrs of
use. Pretty spendy, even buying batteries at Costco. You'd probably get
a whole day of travel, if you didn't have the lights on.
The one pc. bar types have an internal 12V battery with a car charger,
and they claim about a day of use, so you could recharge while you're
parked. I think I'll keep looking for a coiled cord harness. It only
takes about 15 seconds longer to connect it to the toad than it does to
connect the wireless transmitter to the coach.
Thanks for the suggestion, though, Steve

That is incorrect. The 8AA cells easily last for 24 continuous hours. I
use rechargeable (Eneloop) batteries. The longest I have gone on a set is
4 days of daylight towing without recharging. I do not run with my
headlights on in the daytime.
Since I had two vehicles set up for towing, plus one utility trailer,
these things are a blessing.
