I lowered my column about 1 1/4 inches (measured at the instrument panel). Looks like the (blue teflon) splined shaft pulled up about 3/8 of an inch. Should I worry? How long is the shaft?

Glenn, I understand that the potential problem is the binding of the u-joint due to the increased angle caused by lowering the column. I think the joint will bind when turning before the splinde shaft will separate.
