The squirrels have eaten the wires off the top of my Onan. Apparently it has been the local party spot as the insulation was shredded also. To make a long story short, I replaced the coil and plug wires as well as the fuel pump wires and can now start it. I have no AC. I think that the problem is with the wires going to what looks like a rectifier on the top of the onan. It has three wires on it. Can anybody tell me where these wires should go - what terminals are connected to what wires - so that I can check to see if they are connected correctly. I fixed the wires but could not tell where they had been connected.

Thanks in advance.

Hey Larry, good to have a local guy on here. We run to Memphis regularly to see our 2 yr old granddaughter in St. Jude's.
Now, I am no mechanic but do have the book on the Onan. You may borrow it if you don't get the answer you need here. I also have all the cd's that have never been looked at by me. Our Onan does not allow squirrels to party near it and is always ready to fire when we need it. I did just replace the motor mounts and muffler. Now, I am almost an expert on the Onan, I guess. Very Happy

Hi Larry,

A photo of my 4kw -- the wires go to a voltage regulator -- charges the battery on early coaches. Not needed on later coaches that do not have a separate Onan battery.

Here is the info on gene's site...
