Similar issues here...
The volts always worked
The LP always reads full on the panel as well as the tank........even when empty
The black water tank always reads full.....suspect a bad or frozen float, I have a replacement just have not installed it yet.
The fresh water indicator worked right after Muguel installed a new transmitter when I had the coach in for repairs about a year ago. Before that.......full all the time.
It is an adventure...........

Should you ever decide to remove the gauge in the LPG tank be advised that
the o-ring that seals is special, it has a square cross
section.
A round cross section o-ring will probably work but it would be better to
get the right o-ring before you remove the gauge.
I discovered this last year when I had it out for refinishing.
Unfortunately I can't remember where I got the correct seal.

This is a constant issue with old GM gauges. Back in ancient times, they decided to make the instruments:
A - Air Core,
B - Low resistance at low reading.
Air core is not a real bad idea, they are somewhat more expensive and less reliable that the Introl thermal, but they do respond faster. Problem, they also hold the reading when they lose power. This would not be bad, but if the circuit supplying a critical instrument dies, you may not know about it until it is too late.
Low resistance for low reading I tend to think of a S-brain stupid. For temperature, this may not be bad (a broken connection reports hot), but for lube oil pressure or fuel quantity it is a killer.
So, if a gauge is reporting high, it is probably a bad connection. The trick then is finding it. If the gauge reports low, you either have a bad gauge (not uncommon) or the sense lead is shorted to ground along the way. This can be a bear to locate.
I don't see the switch that powers up the panel, maybe that is what is missing. Remember, they read where they were last when not powered.

All of my guages worked when I got our coach. Then the day before our first trip out west I saw something blue floating in the tank, through the toilet hole. Took Teri and me 2 hours to float that out. Did not want it to hit the maserator. It was the float. Who needs it when you have an "eye shot" through the hole? Jim K. sells them and they are a simple fix. Same for the fresh water tank.
