I had a guy at my door today telling me how he found me..and he was certain
I would be interested in buying his '76 Travco.
Apparently this summer, another Travco owner from British Columbia had a
problem with his power steering and he hauled out this list of people who
would help him and can supply parts. Upon closer questioning...yes, it was
the Black List !
So we had a Travco owner traveling with the Black list and was going to get
in touch with me to help him about 60 miles away.....

As it turns out, he had a broken PS belt and never called me, but today's
Dude, assumed Travco/GMC ...all the same !!

The idea of this burns my donkey !!
Had he called, I wouldn't have started the car !

What safeguards do we have to keep the Black List out of the hands of
"Interlopers" ??

Just wondering......Grrrrrrr

I think that once things are out on the internet, the horse is out of the barn. Though it's not a GMC, it's still nice that some other folks are still enjoying vintage motor homes. That doesn't mean that the members on the Black List need to be the cavalry for everyone, but I'm glad that it's available to us.

BTW, if anyone does want a Travco, there's one for sale in the northwest suburbs of Chicago! No, it's not mine or a friend's coach!

Mike,

I would be aggravated too if some mug showed up unannounced on my door peddling a motorhome of ANY kind!

If you get a call for help I reckon you could ask enough questions to determine what kind of "GMC" the person requesting assistance
has.

The power steering question would have been simple to answer though.

Regards,
Rob M.
