I've found the autocad files over at Henry-Davis site but the free version 8 of sketchup will no longer import .dwg files. I'm interested in any & all components that might have been digitized but I'd particularly like to have the frame and engine.

No, I 'll check out the decktop version when I go into the office. Thanks. Hopefully there is a way to do a 2-step import into sketchup. (This loss of autocad import is the first instance I've seen of the free sketchup previously existing features being crippled to force users to the Pro version, btw. But I can't complain, the free version is still an incredible program.)

What format does Sketchup want for importing? Will SVG work?

Evidently not on ver 8 of Sketchup
Import files it now allows are
.3ds
.dem
.ddf
While we're at it, sketchup uses the .skp extension

Darn shame. I never heard of those file formats. I must be getting old or
behind or both.
