US Cellular is now offering a year-end special on (supposedly) UNlimited 4G LTE data plans for $40. My wife already had the 5g plan so the upgrade was $10/mo. I didn't buy into the tethering option yet.

In the Southeast, particularly rural ares, we've found that US C provides the best coverage over the past 20 years we've used them. Note, however, that even with this plan, you are limited to 200m data if you're roaming.

Hey Richard;
I have the MotoSat/DataStorm with the F1 dish, D2 controller, and
DW7000 modem. I also have the DirecTV BOW (Bird on the Wire) on it. I
have had it on the coach for around 7 years. I had continuous service
up until March when I put my service on vacation cause MotoSat was
going wacky on it's users and distributors. I think everything has
settled down and I'm thinking about reinstating the service. One thing
nice is that I have had DirecTV service the whole time cause the
system will still lock onto the sat so the BOW is pointed correctly
but my modem wouldn't hook up. A couple of things about the service.
Like I said I get 1Mb up and 250Kb down. Can't use VOIP cause of the
sat latency (about 1sec), but the internet is great. My service is
limited to 200Mb/day so movies are out, but I have had up to 15 users
on it surfing the net and reading their email without sending me into
the HughesNet Fair Access Policy (FAP). All in all a good service for
getting internet EVERYWHERE unless there is a tree or mountain in the
way. I'm now using my iPhone HotSpot for internet, but I'll be going
to Death Valley in Feb (Dune Buggy rally)and the last time I was there
there was no cell phone service, but I did have internet (and TV)
thanks to the MotoSat back then.
