Fits in a "standard" Atwood slot. Got an Atwood installed like several googleplex RVs currently on the road, Girard will "fit". Ain't got no Atwood, you're hosed. Although, the GMC tool might persuade it.

Tobi,
You are absolutely correct.
These have been on the market for few years, but they are rather expensive.
They list out at $659 for a basic unit and $759 for one in cold areas.
Atwood also has them for higher prices.

For those kind of prices I can do a lot of fussing around with other systems. I'm still trying to figure out how to do both domestic hot water and heating system hot water out of the same tankless unit, and not for $800+.

i agree if you are at a site with free power, then the old one works fine, if not the propane works best. both are a must.

i think that the pod can have also a solar tank that sets in the sun with the opening while solar cells work as well. clear sides on the pod. would work.
