Byron,
This is another beautiful design. I really like the windows - the way the door
glass and cabin glass seem to be one and the wrap-around rear glass. The
clearance lights and windshield look much more modern. I would have liked to
see a larger window opening for the driver and passenger. Our toll window is
much too small. I wonder if any air could get through the grille and I imagine
some real bear-hunting lights poked into those big headlight cans!
You must be a fan of the Ragusa mirror mounts as your design looks a lot like
theirs. Did you take the wheels out of my Hot Wheels collection? With tires
that size you could pick up seasonal work as a steam roller.
What a timeless shape. I’ve always admired the looks of a clean roof, though I
do enjoy having my storage pod and some roof air.
What a beauty!

Larry,
The headlights are actually the lights as used on the F-7 and F-9 GM
Electromotive engines. That explains the size.
No, those aren't Ragusa mirror mounts. Those are Ramvac mirrors made after
the merger of Ramco and Velvac. (Didn't you see the press release?)
The wheels could be from one of your Hot Wheels cars. Who knows where
inspiration comes from. Nothing is original anyway.
The roof is clean for two reasons. When if "road" configuration, the roof
folds down as you see it. In "park" configuration is raises in the VW
Westphalia tradition with the AC and pod coming into view. When you're
driving no one walks back to the bath anyway. Right? So, just drop
everything into the hallway. Great design. Very original (if such is
possible).
Ray,
The windows -- ah. There's a secret to be revealed. They are screen printed
on in most positions except for the windshield. This eliminates the need for
day/night shades and the coach feeling like a greenhouse on sunny days. The
whole driver panel pops up with a gull wing effect so you can smile big time
at the toll booth worker; even moon the person, if you wish. Just be sure to
mash the lift button before entering the booth unless you're in the wide
load lane; damage to the panel is possible if not raise before entering a
narrow space.

Those are big enough headlights that the bottom rotating reflector would
make for an interesting view.
Of course, to be authentic there would need to be two lights stacked so one
can be steady and the other do the "whole lot of shaking going on" bit.
Glad someone else is enough of a train nut to remember the F7 and F9,
freight or passenger, from the 50's. When a child we'd always managed a
visit to the station to watch the City of New Orleans or the Panama Limited
roll into the station at Carbondale, IL when in town visiting my brothers at
Southern Illinois University. I did get to make a trip on the Santa Fe from
Kansas City to Clovis, NM on a Chief in a roomette.
