How have you floks installed Retroflix? Do you cut it to size and install it between the roof ribs or are you able to install large pieces between the headliner and the Ribs?

Hope the question is clear. Suggestions appreciated.

I glued the double bubble to the roof in some areas to temporarily keep it
in place. I used large pieces to cover as much area as possible and fitted
smaller pieces taped to it where necessary. So I did not cut to fit.
And I think it makes a difference...<VBG>

Do you mean Reflectix -- the bubble wrap type insulation found at Lowes?
If so -- that is what I have used in the rear area of my 23 ft.. It is a radiant barrier more than a thermal insulation -- it prevents a lot of heat gain when the coach is sitting in the sun. I do not know if it helps in the cold.
I cut pieces to fit within the aluminun crossmembers and the sidewall ribs and used one large piece where possible under the FRP panels and ceiling I replaced. If you don't cover the ribs and ceiling crossmembers they transmit a lot of heat. In the voids around the windows I cut up to four thicknesses of the material.
No data -- but when the coach is in the sun the ceiling and the sidewalls in the area I insulated are much cooler to the touch than previously.

There are other better materials to use -- I chose the Reflectix and FRP panels because they were the most available locally and the easiest for me to install since I am working in a mini-storage lot.

There are a few pictures in this album on how I completed mine.

Does this help?

I used "double bubble" from my windshield to the rear window and everything in between. I have about 3-5 layers depending on the area of the ceiling. I used 3M spray adhesive on both surfaces. Letting the adhesive dry is key. 5-10 mins is great, then it will stick perfect. My last layer is armafoil. I used that as one last barrier. I painted the armafoil with rubberized paint from Lowes ($39 a gal) and it went on really well. That is my current ceiling till I figure out how to cover all that!

For now its very useable. Its nice cause for example I wanted to fuse one of the wires coming from my solar panels while my GMC is still under construction. I just cut my ceiling open, fused it, sealed it, and repainted it. I don't recommend doing it like that for looks, but sure helped with heat gain! Ceramic Rubber paint on the roof helped a lot as well.
