Hi,

I installed my SPARE water pump the other day. Today, while I was finishing up I found the shaft is 3/4" and the hole in the pulley is 5/8". The hole in the fan clutch is 3/4". It is a heavy duty (A1 cardone).

I drilled the hole in the pully out to 3/4".

I should have posted before I drilled, but was in a hurry finish.

Better late than never.

Thoughts?

Wayne

Sir: I think you did what you could and all should be well. The last fan clutch (999747) I bought had a 5/8 hole with a 3/4 adapter. First one of those I`ve seen. Consolidation of parts I figure.

Chuck,

The fan clutch I pulled off Double Trouble at Marc's home was the same, it wasn't new.
