With the advent of all the iPods, iPhones, and other MP3 players, the CD does seem kind of old fashioned and on the way out, so having a player in the dash is not that big of a draw anymore.
I do like the idea of a cheap, simple radio that I can use with my iPod to give me a lot of listening options. However, it seems that the reviews of the Pyle radios are not too kind (what do you really expect for $24?), but the fact that it uses simple knobs is certainly a draw to many. I don't much care for any of the modern radios with their glitzy dashboard graphics.

Agreed on all counts. I would pay about double for one of "name brand" quality. Like a Sony or something...
As I haven't seen one I have to buy a CD player with a USB input. Last time it was about $80 for a Pioneer CD with USB for the Sidekick.

I see a serious problem with this unit in a GMC. It only has two audio drivers. With no pair for the rear, how do you balance the level through the coach, or if you have pairs for driver and navigator how do you balance to the taste of each.
I'm glad someone likes tuning with a knob, I haven't done that in so long that I'm not sure I remember how. The preferred local stations are on buttons and if I have to search while underway, the seek button works good too.
If CD is so 20th century, then you haven't played with loading a cd with MP3 tracks. We have 2 ea 700M road music disks. When stuffed in the slot, they each play for about 7-1/2 hours without repeating anything (unless I set random mode or there are two copies on the disk - it happens). They also don't get lost. (There is a 4G SD in the cab that I do hope to find this winter.)
That brings up another point. Did you notice that the USB and SD are both 2G max? That may be plenty of storage, but I don't know where to buy chips that small these days. I have a mini MP3 that I have abandon for just that reason.
But - Hey for 25$us (free ship) what do you expect?
