If I can find them somewhere, I think I can add that project to what else I have planned for this winter.

I read an old post on the internet where conversion van companies were removing the Odyssey seats and selling them. I followed up on that to a "disconnected" phone message.

I do want leather, power, and two armrests. I feel confident in my ability to fabricate the mounts.

Does anyone have a source for these seats, preferably not too far from Southern California? I see from this site that the Odyssey front seats sometimes aren't the preferred ones.

Thanks

Check the craiglist in the Phoenix AZ area under auto parts or RV section or do a search (Honda seats)

Thanks. I think I remember Phoenix as the main place they were doing those conversions.

Anyway, I went to Craigslist Phoenix, both categories. No luck. But thanks

The seats from Phoenix are available regularly but not all the time, ck Craigslist every few weeks.

Or search back through the forum emails and you will probably find the sellers phone number.

But these seats are the middle row of seats from Hondas or Chrysler vans. The current ones usually have one or no cupholders and armrests. Do not have bases at all much less electric power ones.

Suggest you check men's mall web sites for high end model vans or SUV's for power bases.

Thanks for the tips!

They gave me a lead to look for wheelchair van conversion companies. I am sure there must be some near me. In fact I came across one a county over.

In those, you generally take out all the center seats, assuming the lift it at the side doors. Not only that, but unlike rv van conversions, wheelchair conversions won't be as subject to the vagaries of a struggling economy.

So I guess I am much better in the hunt for the seats, and, with luck, I might be able see the seats in person, and to avoid shipping costs.
