It is coming up to time to decide on what to do with the tires on Pheboe. One tire is brand new 2 summer's ago the rest have 2004 or 2005 build dates on them.
The only 16.5 tire I can find is the firestone transforce. not a bad tire and is a 10 ply it will match the other 10 ply I now have (the rest are 8ply)
if somebody on the EAST coast had a set of 6 or so Aluminium Rims that fit our couches at a very reasonable price I might be interested.
I will be heading to Orlando in March 2013 so could pick up along the way (if not to far off the beaten track as I will be travelling with somebody else)
this is just sort a testing of the waters type question.

I like my Eagles. They are the newer hub centering type. After the Pueblo rally we happened to run into fellow GMCers in Taos, NM. They were waiting for a 16.5 to be shipped in. Something to think about... getting harder for stores to stock. I am also wondering what the chances of getting a set with even close manufacturing dates.

~ Something To Think About ~
We were in the Ozarks 4 years ago
and
had to wait 3 days for a 16.5 Tire ~
So
When we got back home we went to 16s ~

You can find 16 steel wheels, if you look in men's malls. I know you said non-steel, but steel is an alternative. Heavier, and not so pretty, but inexpensive.

It's getting harder to find the correct 16" steel wheels as well ( at least in my area). I also have the 16.5" Transforce tires on my coach, and found some 16" steel wheels, but it did take a while. I haven't checked them for runout yet, and they certainly need some freshening and paint, but I am planning to replace the 16.5" when it's time.
The alloys are probably money well spent in the long run.

the men's malls around here are closing and have gone to a computerized system with many of the parts being shipped from other places when you order them. we also have a new car shredder on our port now so there will be even less in the near future.
