Hi Ya'll,
It's been a while. Life circumstances may compel me to give up on the Revcon. A friend is interested but he has a vision for a more modern drive train.
I think I've read every variation of drive train discussion and i think the consensus remains that OEM is about as good as it gets.
But.......
Given that the Revcon is about 2500 lb lighter than a GMC, are there any alternative FWD drive trains out there that might pull four tons?
He wants something more modern and more friendly to a contemorary mechanic.
thanks

Is there a nice write up of the various things people have tried drivetrain
wise and how it worked out on the web?
Thanks,
Ron

Dave,
I'm sorry to hear this, I have "had you on" about your "Flatnose" but it was always meant as "good fun."
I hope whatever it is that is causing you to make this decision is not something health related.
As far as an opinion on a replacement goes I don't think that's really a cost effective, he'll probably spend more money making a
swap than he'd ever do just using it as is.

Rob M.
