Thought I would share one of the projects I'm heavily involved with - It's a movie about God and Country.

It was put together as a picture that you would actually want to take your children and grandchildren to see.

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/doughboythemovie/distribution-for-doughboy-the-movie

Yes, that's Terry Kiser from "Weekend at Bernies". It was a hoot working with him on this project, and a second picture, a Christmas movie called "Simple Gifts" that will release for Christmas 2013.

Dove Foundation highest rating. GI Film Festival award winner.

We are having a charity screening in 11 markets on Veterans Day (11/11).

See, I do something other than crawl out from under the GMC.

We started off just being the lead investor (We = wife/partner/center of my universe and me)

We were around for a lot of the filming, and really enjoyed the people. Functionally, I ended up being Executive Producer with Kristin Seibert.

I'm heavily involved in the distribution of the film. We had a bit of a problem with a distribution company that was less than ethical, and we are now "self distributing" the picture.

I'll be doing lots of back and forth to the coast getting this done. "Flyover Films" is a little play on what the Film industry thinks of the rest of the country.

West Virginia has a terrific film credit program set up, and there is enough WV talent (Kevin Sizemore, John Corbitt, and many more) who are willing to take a risk on a low budget home grown film. We get a transferable 32% credit to leverage.

The stories will all be values based, good family entertainment. A picture to take my grandchildren to see.

Some of what we do will go straight to DVD/VOD or Television.

It's fun. It's a new challenge.
