Sean,
Would be helpful if you provided the tire manufacturer and the model and any other details you can.

Hi all,
I'm shopping for tires and some that I see have a "/8" at the end of
the size code, eg ""LT225/75R16/8".
Is the "/8" the ply rating - ie, 8-ply, load range D?
Thanks!

Sean,
You're in luck! That's the tires I have on Double Trouble. I just went out with my flashlight and they are marked;
LT225/75R16
NO /8
I have had them on the coach for four years and am happy with their performance.
Ken Burton runs them too.
I was surprised when I got them and noted that they were made in China as Kumho is a Korean company.
I just checked Tire Rack and they're selling them for $131.00 plus shipping.
Keep in mind that when you order tires over the internet you loose control of how old they are, however,
I see that if you order them from Wal Mart they'll ship them to your local store, that's not a bad idea, if they ship you tires that
are more than say six months old you can reject them. Tell the tire manager that you want FRESH tires!
Regards,
Rob M.

I was looking at Kumho KL78's http://goo.gl/Gh12P but I've seen the
same convention used elsewhere
