Gene,

My presentation and notes will be available in PDF in about a week. I'm
wasn't totally finished before getting here. I'll add a couple of slides
and improve images on two. I'll send a complete link to this forum when I
get it posted at www.gmceast.com.

Byron

Yes Gary, there was quite a presentation on it yesterday. I loaded several sets in Jim's crate this afternoon so the folks on the West Coast will be able to buy them next week.

Hey Dan;

Thanks for this info. I guess what I was wondering if there is any
info about what the difference is between this and the disk brake
setup and other areas of interest that AppliedGMC sells. Things like:
does this unit need sway bars, is this able to be installed by the
owner, is the kit complete when purchased, any special tools or
modifications of stock components required, does it retain the
original parking brake, what is the final price, and probably the
answers to the plethora of questions that was asked at the tech
session. Just wondering if this is going to be worth it over the disk
brake version.

Well Gary, lots of guys dont want disc brakes. I would not even think about a reaction arm without the rear discs. But, this setup is a lot less expensive and keeps the parking brake. I was not in the lecture but I did not load any sway bars. Someone that was in the session will respond, I am sure. I don't attend a lot of the tech sessions anymore. There was a price discussed but I am not sure what it is. That is about as good as I can answer your questions.
Are you at Western States? Did Gene drive one of his coaches there?

Yes,

Tom Pryor gave a seminar on it and basically it works like the first version of the disk brake setup.

It has a block that bolts to the bottom of the bogie and tubes that connect that block to the mount for the backing plates which
allows them to rotate around the spindle which in turn applies the braking torque to the frame instead of the bogie arms.

The price tag is $1495.

Hey Dan;

Thanks for the info. Will wait and see what others who were there
might say. I'm not at WS cause I was suppose to go to the LSR, but
that was cancelled, plus the Stretch is down while I have some type of
new flooring installed (I think Steve and Nancy F have talked us into
vinyl). I'm going to do some updating on it, and I too really want the
disc brake version of the Reaction-Arm system but am mildly interested
in this drum brake version. I think GeneF stayed home for this WS
rally as neither of his coaches are on the road. I hardly ever hear
from him anymore since we bought the Revolution. It ate my friend.
