Parking Brake that Really Works
A new item on display by Al Branscombe, one of the GMC geniuses from
across the border, is his greatly improved parking brake system. It comes
complete with a new cabling, Kelsey Hayes park brake caliper, and
air-assist force and distance actuators.

You are right about that one Byron, but I am still waiting to see that new brake reaction arm system that will work with drum brakes and if you decide (aka can afford) to later go to rear disk, you only need to change out two parts.

Dan,
Wow,
(To answer Gene, it is the new design reaction arm that will be able to accommodate either drum or disk brake.)
It is a clean and simple system that is getting 0.1 G improvement in stopping on JimK's old coach. My coach is a light 23 and it already stops pretty good with its OE brakes, but putting an extra 1/10 of a on that - Whoa Nelly.....
I am telling you right now, if I had the resources, we would be taking one home.
Taking it home only because I don't have the tools here to do the install on the grass.
Gene, How about this...
The coach has 15/16 cylinders on the rear and 1-1/8(?) in the intermediate. It will still drag the rear in a panic stop.
But...
With the kit installed, the rear doesn't drag, but the intermediate locks up and smokes.
And it stops 10 feet shorter at 35 MPH, more at 45, but I don't remember the numbers. (I was too busy gaping.)
Lots of other neat stuff here too, but that one is a winner.
