Recently I replaced the CO detector in the coach. I had read that RV detectors are different than residential so I got an Atwood RV unit. I noticed it looked a lot like the one on the wall in the house. Pics:

It seems Kidde makes both and the model number is the same KN COPP-B. The difference seems to be the RV unit comes with an extra trim ring to keep it secured to where it is mounted. I think the house detector came from Home Depot so I coulda just got it local.

It would be nice to know if there are any differences between residential and RV units. I have one in the house that I don't need since we stopped using propane for heat and was going to put it in the GMC.

I've been using a battery powered resedential one for years.
