Good morning,

Confirmation for the clock clinic has been extended till Monday,
September 15 at 5:00 pm.

The following people showed interest on their reservation for the
convention. I have indicated people that have confirmed. We do need a
minimum of 10 people for them to hold the clinic.

Don Adams - confirmed
Eric Tanner
George Baxter - confirmed
Lauri Burton - confirmed
Robert Miller
John Weimer
Ray Fall
Ronald Morrison
Ron Boiser
Roger Black
Emery Stora - confirmed
Craig Lechowicz - confirmed

If you wish to sign up, simply email or call me to confirm.

A picture of the clock will be posted shortly on the GMCMI website. It
is 9 ˝” H x 11” W x 2.5” D and is made from solid walnut with a maple
base and a cherry dial. It will have a movement and hands added as
well.

The class will get a chance to do some light sanding, assembly, some
finishing, and final assembly of the clock. During the class they will
also get a chance to talk with one of our craftsmen (he will conduct
the class) and take a tour of our shop to learn more about Amana
furniture.

The class will be held here at the furniture shop beginning at 9:00 am
and last about 3 hours. The cost of the class will be $70.00/clock
plus sales tax.

Please note: clock clinic people will be able to finish their clock
and return to the Amana RV Park in time for 2:00 pm - Early Bird
Roundtable – Randy Van Winkle & George Beckman - Electronic Fuel
Injection (EFI) Roundtable Discussion.

If you have any additional questions, please contact me.

Safe travels and see you in Amana!

Hi Kim

Please take me off the list for the "Build a Clock" I don't like the modern look. I'll probably buy one that I like.

Thanks.

Larry,
Wow, that thing came out awesome! You must have about a GMC's worth of hours in it.

Larry,

That's a beauty. A little too tall for the coach, and the whole pendulum thing might need some tweaking…

Nice job on the clock. My dad built several (about 26 or so) with his Shopsmith setup. He also did barrister bookcases.

Larry,

You are right, pendulums are a problem on any thing that moves. (I know some coaches - not GMC - where that is not an issue.)
We do have clocks that keep pretty good time underway.
We have John Harrison to thank for that.

Ah yes...the Shopsmith. I taught adult evening classes in woodworking for a lot of years and the Shopsmith was a favorite purchase of many students after taking my class. Now that was a fun time...teaching adults.

Me too Kim

I would like to opt out of the clock workshop. It sounds like a lot of fun, but I don't care for that clock at all.
