I need to refinish the roof. It appears to have a single coat of paint that is quite smooth but blochie and flecks of I do not know what in the paint. I will be replacing the ac (one) and installing photo voltaic cells (about 300 watts).
What product would be good to use?

Bright white. Not sure if it can be colored. Goes on thick and rough but
makes a big dent in the amount of heat coming in through the roof.

$135 at my local store, covers 250 sq ft. About the ideal amount for a 26' model.

Per the instructions, it goes on with a very thick nap roller. Seems to
start to "clot" early but that could have been the heat and humidity in
which I was painting. Requires several coats, I did 3, and I'll probably
do a couple more. Barely made a dent in the 4.5g bucket. Ends up a very
bright but flat white, more like a whitewash than a finishing paint -
has a very "marine" feel to it. I did it to the roof edges and gutters.
You don't notice it much from the ground unless you are looking for it.
It really attracted the dirt when I was out in the desert and on the
roof but one good rain back in NC took it all off, so I think it will
retain its original condition.

Hope that helps.

Sold only at Lowe's and I had a hard time getting it as it is not as
available in the SE as it is in the SW. I got it for $108 but price has
now gone up. As noted earlier, I've put on 3 coats and still have most
of the bucket (4.5g originally) left.

"Goes on thick and rough"

I think the above says enough about the appearance.

Dan if you had it to do again would you use it? I think I am getting ready to do the same as not much paint on the top of mine. Texas sun is hard on paint. Wish I was back home in NC but job is in Texas.

Yes, I would do it again. You really don't even notice it from the
ground unless you are intentionally looking for it. I'm going to thicken
it up with another couple coats. If it didn't dry so flat white, I'd
paint the whole coach with it to see how it helped thermally.

Well went to Lowes thinking I should be able to pick up some since it is Houston and is always hot here. Oh well it is special order item so will have to wait for it to come in.
