I have this NOS refer for sale-never been used. I plugged it into 120v and nothing. Took it to an RV service center and they said it works fine, cools well. What!!!! Turns out it needs 12v to fire up the ciruit board that controls everything. Cost me $120 to find that out.
If you need a fridge, I can bring it to Amana. Retail is $1000 and my price is $600 with no shipping and handling and no tax. It is a Dometic made in Sweden and runs on gas an electric with a 12 volt conection to start it. Never used and a two door unit of 6 cu ft. I have the dimensions needed to mount it.

Won't bother bringing it, 122lbs, unless someone is interested. Email me at gemrecs@yahoo.com.....Thx, Michael at Gemrecs

Michael,

Too bad you didn't ask the GMCnet - the Dometic fridge in Double Trouble went on the fritz the first year we had the coach and JimB
explained how it worked and why it didn't when he fixed it.

It would be helpful if you could post the model number. I'll find a link for you so would be customers can see what it looks like.

Regards,
Rob M.

This is a good unit. Uses 120v/propane needs 12v for control.

This model has been around for a number of years. I had one like it
in my 77 Eleganza II when I bought the coach. Really a nice
refrigerator! Any one who gets this will be pleased. Will fit in the
opening of the factory 2 door frig with very little refit.

I have one also and have had absolutely no problems with it. I did have to move it approximately 1" forward (towards the center of the coach) when I mounted it. Other than that if fits perfectly in the hole where the old Norcold was located. I leave it on "auto" when I use it and it automatically switches between gas and 120 volts depending on whether 120 volts is available or not. It uses so little gas that I only fill up the propane every 3 or 4 years. I also have a propane furnace that I use sparingly but it also uses some of the propane.

G'day,

Double Trouble has a model RM-2607 which I'm guessing was the predecessor to this model. It was installed when Leeland Martin owned
it in June of 1995. IIRC the problem with it was it would only run on gas. JimB fixed it by swapping out the control board with one
he had in a fridge there. That was in 2008 and to date it's working fine.

Regards,
Rob M.

We have this exact refrigerator in our coach, works great !!! It will
automatically switch from 120v AC to Gas when 120 is not available.

It does need the 12v DC to operate the controls. $600 is a DEAL for a brand
new one !
