I never did check the tach to see if it was set for 6 or 8.
I will check it tomorrow
According to Garman the speedo is right on.
Had winds again today so mpg is holding at 9.
Coach is still running great except for some crap fuel I got today.
With that 3.70 the coach doesn't even know when we're going up hill.
Later

Jim D,
I was speaking with Jim B, he is waiting for you to bring your coach in so
he can start working on doing an outstanding prep work and paint.
I'm waiting to see it when its done.
Is Adelle traveling with you?

Jim;
I just talked to Jim B. this afternoon.
We are about 400 miles from him right now in a little town called Eulaula,
Alabama.
I told him we would be at the shop first thing Monday morning.
Yes, Adelle is with me but not riding in the coach as I have it gutted right
now with only the drivers seat to sit on.
My neighbor is following in my pick-up with his wife & Adelle.
When we leave Jim's shop, we are going on a minnie vacation on the way back
to AZ.
I will probably fly down to Jim's when the coach is done & drive it back.
The coach is running & handling just beautiful.
Today we had a strong tail wind & got almost 11 mpg.
Seems like it took forever for the gas gauge to go down.
Wish I could do that all the time!!
When I checked the tach. this morning, the switch was set on 6 cyl. so I
moved it to 8 cyl. & now rpm is 2750 at 60 mph.
Thanks to everyone for reminding me about that.
I must have had a brain fart.
I'll add more tomorrow.

Hi, Jade.

I have forgotten what you said the tach
was running at before. Was it around
or a bit under 3700? That's what I came
up with applying an 8/6 factor to the
2750 rpm that somebody said would be
a correct RPM for 60 mph.

Glad the coach is running so well!

Mac;
Yes the tach. was set on the 6 cyl. position & the rpm was around 3600 at 60
mph.
Thanks again for pointing that out.
I had just installed that tach. before I left for the Coop & should have
known better.
We will be at Jim's shop in the morning and yes the coach has made the 2100
mile trip without as much as a low tire.
Only used 2 quarts of oil & without all the wind was running close to 10
mpg.
Will average the mpg for the whole trip after we get back home with the
coach.
