Hi All!
I am looking to join the GMC ranks, but haven't found the right coach yet. I live in Oregon, but don't mind a road trip for the right one. Not looking for a completely restored example, but would like something in decent mechanical condition. If you know of a reasonable coach out there please let me know. Thank you in advance for your assistance!
Best,
Chad

Chad, what part of Oregon?
I am in Hillsboro and have three coaches. I am not (currently) wanting to sell any of them, but they could give you and idea of size and space in the different layouts. I could show you my coaches and we could talk about your needs to figure out what type of coach you should be looking for, so you get the right one the first time. (That way you do not end up with three!)
There is (was?) a 23 foot repainted Sequoia in Forest Grove. We could see if it is still there.
Call me at "97 one-570-683 one" if you are near Portland.

Kerry,
Looks like you have a beautiful coach! Alabama is a bit of a trek. To be honest, I am looking for a 26ft model. Thank you for responding.

There is a nice one here in Prescott, AZ that was on Craigslist and
could be on Ebay, owners had it for 20 years and keep it nice, 78.

Chad,
Here's a post I made a few days ago in response to Dwayne's request.
Call John, the owner, or contact me and I can help you out when I return home to Cal.:
Dwayne,
An aquaintance in Red Bluff, Ca. (almost to Oregon, which is close to Washington and British Columbia has two 26' GMC's that he would like to sell. Inexpensively I believe- or he likes to trade for things; cars, dune buggies, ultra lights you name it he has it.
Neither is pristine but either may work for the wannabe who can do some renovation/restoration/mechanical work.
John's number is 530-736-0569 or 530-527-5873.
John is not on the net nor is he to tech savvy; so he may not be able to send pics.
I am in the middle of Illinois now but I will be home in a couple of weeks;I can help John send you pictures if your people are interested.
Both of the coaches ran when they came to John's property but I don't think he has driven them since.
Just trying to further the "Cause". Let me know if I can help.

Chad,
Maybe it would help if you tell us a bit about how you envision using the coach. For instance I really wanted the flexibility of rear sofas and the bunk-bed was a must have for my daughter. Although we are only a family of 3 we have slept 6 more times than I can remember.
As our daughter will go off to college I’m thinking that the beautiful rear lounge that Sharon and Jerry Work have would make more sense. It turns into a larger than king-sized bed, but the lounge must be perfect for entertaining.
Is a dry bath important to you, or is a toilet / sink / shower combination that saves space a better choice? One roof air or two? Are you mechanically handy, or close to a great mechanic? At this point in time your price range will give you plenty of choices. Maybe you should visit a rally first to see a variety of coaches.
I bought mine sight-unseen all the way in Ohio. It was listed on ebay as parts. My wife still loves me.

Larry, are there photos of this anywhere? I looked in the GMCPhotos site but couldn't find anything in Jerry's albums about the lounge.
