I have just had a mishap with bad weather and the lower arms on my A&E awning--talking to many RV parts dealers they ALL said I had to purchase a new awning because the parts are obsolite---I ordered part number 3310325000S from ANYRVPARTS.com --they measure the same. 1" x 2", and had them cut to 47" and at the lower end cut out a "V" and had them welded to give them the angle needed to fit the GMC Motorhome--total cost was $75.00 for the two arms and $30.00 at the welding fab shop down the road---just thought I would post this for the fellow GMC owners that may encountor damage to the lower arms on their A & E 5000 awning.

To find the arms for this fix google anyrvparts.com out of Chino Ca--then click on awning, covers, parts then select A&E awning parts--the part number is 3310325000S and it is the 6th part down on tha page and there is a picture there--they cost $23.19 eash plus shipping--they are 57 inches long and need to be cut to approx 47" to be the length of the original--I took my bent one to the welding shop so they could get the correct angle

Can you tell us what feet are on the new arms? One of the feet on my 5000 broke in a severe wind storm (the awning was in the closed position but the wind still tore it off the coach)

This is a photo of the original style foot.

Hi--I just looked on their site and they do not have that bracket available--however I think you could adapt the new style lower foot bracket and mate it up with the newer style lower arm bracket--look at A&E Dometic RV Awning Lower Wall Bracket 3104653005

the new lower arm comes with a new style bracket that would fit into this and looks like its just a couple of rivet to install---look at it and see what you think and chime back in with your thoughts

Here are pictures of the old arm and the new arms I made and also the difference in the new bracket and old bracket. If your brackets are still good like mine are, you can reuse them.
