The parts coach has some nifty LED Marker lights
They are Maxxima M20311R (and Y as appropriate).
The seem to have a little condensation behind the lens.
Anyone have experience with this? Is it a failure waiting to happen?
Also, I've written the maker, but is there a good source of supply on the gaskets?

Sir: They are sealed units and should not have any condensation. I got mine from the local Peterbilt dealer, they are listed as bus lights. The gaskets are available from Bill Brown but have misplaced the BDub link. I believe they also come with new screws but are a little short for the leds. I used 2 gaskets cause of the curve of the roof. I also enlarged the hole for the wires since the leds wires are in a different place. I used dum-dum to seal around the hole. A note on the leds they are +- specific and I have seen some with the wires crossed. I would suggest checking the light visually before sealing. | Dolph Santorine wrote on Fri, 24 August 2012 14:37 |

From what I understand the LED lights are supposed to be sealed units. I thought Maxxima was a good brand... are you sure of the brand?
Anyway:
Like other have mentioned, JimK has the gaskets for between the lights and the body. IIRC they are extra thick.

Comparing new lenses with the LED lights, when on, I like the look of the regular non-LED lights better. I know there are other reasons to go with LEDs other than looks. In fact, for my other projects, I also found and bought a set of these on eBay:

I actually ended up with 10 red and 5 yellows.)

That sounds like a plan.
Now maybe I should dig out the paper work for mine. They have similar issues, but I don't know who made them and only know that they are less then four years old.
