I added an extension to my kitchen counter top. After using the new kitchen counter/sink for a year, I came to the conclusion that we could use a little more space on the right side of the sink. It will be used almost exclusively when washing dishes, for a place to put the dirty ones that are waiting to be washed. I added a few pics to my album on the photo site, starting here:

Mike, Both of my Avions had a 12v outlet located in that general area. I wish that they had been mounted further back on the cabinet. The Avion installation sometimes runs into interference from the kitchen drawer.
If you look at Wally world, they have a very nice 12v outlet that can be easily added almost anywhere. At our Wal-Mart, the Marine grade one is cheaper and better than the automotive one. I put them in the passenger side molding, in front of the ashtray. Gives you more outlets up front; one for GPS, one for cell phone charger. You get the.idea. There is plenty of room in that side for 2. I ran the 12v wiring forward, thru the dash grommet, then to the house battery. Separate fuse panel also.

Michael,
I took the power from the 12v fuse panel in the electrical compartment. I had really easy access to that area with the top off, but it should be easy enough to snake a wire over there even with it on. The outlet came from one of the local RV supply stores. I mounted it close to the wall, on the side of the cabinet and run my Wilson Sleek, and my smartphone charger off of it through a splitter. It is very handy and prevents me from having wires hanging all over the place.

fantastic design, the area can be used so much more with less area. computer at the couch, dishes on the fold out, stove top counter space.
great, there is a new type nuwave oven at cost co that may fit in that drawer.
i think this one is better than the nuwave and stores in a smaller space, it is at costco for about $70.
these things are onan ok i would suppose. this stores so small in a drawer where the normal propane oven is.
If we can go electric this is really cool. it is cheaper at costco right now. 1300 watts, the super wave.

Very cool, Mick. I don't think one of those is in my future though. The PO had taken the gas oven out and replaced it with a microwave. We use that and a toaster oven whenever we have 120 volt power, which CAN include the Onan. I think I would prefer a gas oven since it would work better for dry camping. Hopefully this will open up some discussion on the merits of gas ovens vs electric.
You're right about the counter space, there is about three times as much as the original set-up. I just have to be careful when I light the sideways stove. It'll burn the hair off your arm if you're not careful. Ask me how I know.

The previous PO also replaced the gas stove with a microwave oven in our
Palm Beach and installed a two burner stove top. You either have to bend
over or knell on the floor to use the microwave. The stove top has the
control knobs recessed and collects grease and other food debris as you
cook and PITA to clean. It will be my winter project to move the microwave
and replace the stove top with an oem oven (thanks Gary Worobec).

I am a fruit and salad person and try not to eat meat, but fail at it. I am very impressed with the
simple time, space, and ease to cook fast on the nu wave, with exact cooking and succulent juicy tender
way you can cook with one of these. The top stores up side down in the plastic top in the bottom and
stays rather easy to put in a rather big drawer. It bakes, does steaks, every thing, eggs, you name it fast.
If you use tin foil with it, you have very little mess to put up with. I am not a cook, nor do i like to do it really.
But this thing does everything that an oven can do on counter top faster. IT has a bad carbon print.
I think LP gas is a great way to go. having the two burners is enough for that for me. Boon docking does
mean you have to use a gas generator. It is 1300 watts. Most things are 10 to 13 minutes. noise is there,
gas is gone, but the food is really under control for quality and cleaning is small. I like the idea.
there is a lot of utube how to's with the nu wave cooker. check it out. It could be used with a toad generator that
is smaller out side as well. most seem to have a smaller generator to use as well in case of back up.
I may be wrong and want to eat less. so you are right the less tools to eat with - the less you eat - so it is best not to have
another tool to eat. Fruit and salads do not need it anyway. So i have talked myself out of it. now
but i already have it and the onan will not start and Duane S. is not around to help but i still have his DVD thank you all
who allowed that DVD to be done. It really tells you how to be a shade tree onan man. I will get around to it some day.
It may just be low on oil and will not start because of that, I would like to find someone by anaheim to help me start it.
have it tuned up and check it out while i am working every day. Disneyland is busy with the new cars land. really busy. fini
