I have removed everything from my coach so I can evict all the mice that had signed a lease with the P.O. I have tried to remove everything carefully so I could preserve parts for anyone looking for them. Let me know if you need anything and hopefully I will be able to help you out.

I suggest that you go to: http://www.gmcmi.com/plans.html and pick out 23' floor plans. There is nothing there with a gaucho behind the driver's seat.
As to how to collect them. If minnisoda can get them out of his coach, you can get them into yours. It may be a distance, but driving the coach there is probably less expensive than the shipping would be.
I used to use mine to transport spars all the time. I can get a 16.4' fully assembled boom inside. Masts are another story.

| Matt,
What I have now is a 23'-2. As you can see, there is only sleeping room for 3 and there are 4 of us.
I am aware that there was never a GMC upfitted the way I am talking about. I have no confidence in the structural integrity of the top section of an OEM davo/bunk holding up either of my teenagers (both look like they are going to be my size, 74" long and 275 pounds, and are almost there now). If I can get a stock rear dinette, I will need to modify it (add a cushion extension) so that it is a "double XL" (80" long) when converted from a dinette into a bed. Moving the gaucho I have now from the rear can be done, but would require fabrication of everything but the plywood that the cushions sit on. It looks like lots of 26' models had a gaucho that folds out to a double bed behind the driver's seat.
I have no reservations about modifying the existing woodwork/cabinetry to fit the furniture I need.
If moving the wet bath didn't look like so much work, I would be planning to design and build a rear dinette that converts to a queen or king size bed.
If I get the brakes and engine work done before I start tearing into the interior, I will have to put a cot in the cockpit to use the motorhome.

The bunk bed/ coach can actually hold more than you might think, though I'd be hesitant to be in either myself, as I'm also way too short for what I weigh.
I wonder if a folding camp cot or aerobed may be your best option without having to tear things up too much? In my 26', I used two jack beds facing each other to fold down into a large sleeping area, but that won't work on a 23' coach. Wish I could be of help, but figuring out options for retrofitting the coaches is some of the fun.

Are you planning to keep the bathroom door? I'm looking for one with the "rosewood" finish.
