Art and Doris came by yesterday to look over the Eleganza. After they left, I decided to hook up the shore power and see if anything smoked. To my VERY pleasant surprise, the rooftop AC blows very cold!
That sure will make it more pleasant while I'm pulling out the interior and seeing what is salvageable. The air pump is locked up but the battery charger is warm so it's doing something. I didn't have time to see if it was putting out voltage to the house battery.

This is an excellent suggestion. Not something you have to do, but something to do when you want to stimulate the economy a little. And you will shed some coach weight. That old buzz box is heavy! Mine hummed and got warm but didn't charge the batteries.

I'm with Larry. The PD 9245 was a HUGE improvement in my coach. It charges the batteries a LOT faster (so less generator run time, saving money), plus it won't cook my batteries like the buzz box did (my rig's PO used to buy all new batteries every couple years). Sure, you'll spend some money up front, but you'll repay that in gas, generator wear and new batteries in no more than a year or two - after that, it's money in the bank.
