You might want to check eBay for GMC motorhome parts. There is a fellow just west of downtown Chicago that was parting one out and had all sorts of panels, frame members, etc. listed. I bought a dash from him a while ago, and though he is in a very scary-looking part of town, he was nice and helpful.
He doesn't list all the things he has for sale at the same time, so you might try to contact him. Sorry, I didn't save his information, but his shop was on west Lake St. In Chicago and his eBay name is BornTim.

George,
The type that Larry is after are rarer than rocking horse poo!
I've been doing an eBay search for GMC parts for years and have only seen
the trapezoidal seat bases a couple of times. I bought one set and Dan G.
picked them up for me.
Regards,
Rob M.

I'm sure Cinnabar has them. I've had work done there and they told me they had plenty of pedestals when we discussed cockpit seat replacement options.

I reckon it would be a bad idea if half a dozen guys call them up and ask
for an OEM trapezoidal seat base,
If that happens they might tweak to the fact that they're desirable and
start selling them!

Look what Cinnabar did to the price of air bags. I hope they end up eating most of them.

Hi Larry.. You might want to use the GMC pedistals if you can find the right side. They are offset swivel and actually move away from the wall when swiveling. I had a set of Capt chair swivels and had to raise the seat back to swivel..
Larry wrote on Thu, 12 July 2012 12:08 | OK, hold on...I just remembered that I have a set of generic pedestals that I got from JCW about 5 yrs ago. I got them out and found that I may be able to mount the Honda seats to these JCW pedestals WITHOUT modifying or removing anything from the seat. I'm taking pics as I go, so as soon as I work this out, I'll post them.

Rob.. Isn`t the Birch a Transmode?? It is a 77 tho..
Robert Mueller wrote on Fri, 13 July 2012 08:47 | Chuck,
I did some research and I THINK the swivels in the Avion were used in
Transmodes.

I do have a set of bases out of an Avion (only?) but they are center
swivels. I don`t know why they are different? It had a barrel chair on pass
side.
