Here is the stuff you want to use:
http://nofp.com
Click on "PRODUCT LIST" followed by "MicroFoil"
This a foam product that will not support combustion. I got a bunch of rolls from them for GMC group buy about 10 years ago. I also visited their plant in Wauseon, Ohio and watched them make this stuff.
Call them and they will send you some free samples.
I probably ought to get Jim K. to stock this stuff.

Reflectix is a waste of time and money. It's bubble wrap. I can't tell the difference with or without it.

I used the Microfoil product that Ken recommended and have been happy with it.
One caution: be careful when using any foil surfaced insulation it can do an effective job of shorting out electricals that it comes in contact with.

The only price I saw was $175 for the 4 x 125' roll of Microfoil. Can you get two coaches out of this?

Call them. The sell it in shorter sizes. Tell them you are re-doing a GMC. I had my GMC over there and they checked it out.
At the time they said they would ship odd lengths for GMC motorhomes. I have not dealt with them in 5 or so years so I hope they still will honor their commitment.
This s a private owned company. The owners (husband and wife) probably will answer the phone. Their daughter worked in the office and their son or son in law ran the factory. This may have changed but I do not think so.
As I remember I bought what we needed in 50 foot rolls. It also comes in various widths. I do not remember the sizes any more.
The offer double sided foil or double sided foil with a white plastic cover. I bought some of both.
This stuff also makes good windshield / window covers. You can lay it underneath carpet for additional insulation under floors. It wont hurt to walk on it.

Gene,
I use some of this ( bubble wrap )in the top curve and corners of the rear cap, for the rest I used riget foam with foil and can foam. Scape the old foam off with a crapper, not hard to do and makes the re-insulation job easier.

I used Denim. R13, but you have to fir down the ceiling, and packed it in a few other places like around my water tank, behind the bath module, and around the genny compartment. I have ducted my AC units, and used the blue foam in rear bedroom along the walls and in the curves and a lot of foil tape. Yes the ceiling is lower, but I'm 5'6"...

If you haven’t checked out Chris’s photo album - do it. It’s impressive what he’s done with the ceiling. Here is one pic to get you started <http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/it-has-begun/p28263-dropped-ceiling.html>

Thanks Ken. I'll give them a call later. I love the opportunity to deal with a mom and pop any day.
What about between plywood floor and wood floor? Will that effect gas tank temps?
@Chri$, was the reflectix that worthless?
I'm in Fl. and am probably going with a darker exterior color and will need all the help I can get. This Microfoil sounds promising.

ws,
Sorry for my spelling boo boo. I'll try again.
I used a 2" and 3" wide scraper. Once you break under the foam it's easy to get large chunks down. If the inside is clear, it's doable in one day (scrape the old foam).
At first I tried shaving the foam smooth to glue a sheet over the top, too hard and messy. Besides, some of the OEM foam is no longer attached to the alum.
I made 2 layers of 3/4" foiled foam to fill the 1-1/2" space depth, I couldn't get 1-1/2". Use can foam to glue the sheet with some pressure to prevent the expansion of the can foam to push the panel above the rib surface (dinning canopy poles work good).
If the shower is in place, remove the medicine box to get behind, on top the shower is another matter. Mine was moved for plumbing and other work (the wheel houses, LP & Gen boxes needed to be resealed and refastened).
Do it right first, or frown later.

That one I have no idea on. You might have to talk to them. I question the advantage of a radiant barrier packed between two lawyers of wood but they should know.
My real pint on the initial posting was to say, if you are planning to reflectix, use microfoil instead.
