This RV Museum is located in Amarillo, TX.

They don't have a GMC yet, so if you're in the neighborhood, stop by and ask them why they don't. While you're there, check out a few of the forerunners of the modern day RV industry.

Tin Can Tourists Tidbits
Stated Objective: To Unite Fraternally All Auto Campers - Guiding principles: clean camps, friendliness among campers, decent behavior and to secure plenty of clean, wholesome entertainment for those in the camps - Official Colors: Black and Tan - The success of the movement was said to be due to the legend that once you roll with a trailer you'll never be satisfied with a stationary home again. “after WW II the tourists gathered in Traverse City, every summer”

The Little Lamp of Friendship The little lamp of friendship, We light along the way. Go shining on far down the years and brighten everyday. “Tis love that keeps them shining And sympathy and trust.” God help us that no lamp go out Because we let it rust. Unknown

I get good ideas from seeing the simple designs from the past, many are more modern than today. to me.
