Why is it that whenever you pull up a campground or RV resort web site, and look for pictures of the actual camping (parking) sites, there never are any?
They all show the road to the check in area, the kids play area including splash pools with slides, sand boxes, etc, etc.
Am I getting old or something - I'm not really interested in the kiddie pool, play ground or the reception area. I'd like to see the actual sites (parking) and even the roads leading to the sites.
Even the campgrounds listed in Woodall's as 4 or 5 star don't have that info on their web sites.

Steve,
As little as we use "campgrounds", I completely agree.
So, when we are thinking of going to a campground (read parking lot with (maybe) some hookups), I always find it on Google Earth. If you can see the slips (parking sites) clearly, you know there are no trees. You can usually guess the size pretty well if there are a few things parked there.
Sometimes, you can use Google streets to look in from the road. That does work, but it is a poor bet.
