Speaking of my electric wiper kit: One question everyone has when
installing the electric wipers is "What do I do about the hole left by the
wiper lever?"
I haven't had a stock answer. I personally made an oval filler plug from a
piece of polished aluminum. Others have made the plug from Formica with
grain similar to the dash. Still others have mounted the control switch
and delay rheostat there. One talented retired EE, now deceased, mounted
the rheostat sideways with a thumb wheel extending through the slot.
Now I have a source for SS plates to fill the hole. I may start including
them in the kits, but the minimum order for them would last me for years at
the slow current pace of sales. Thus the survey: If you already have the
kit, or have firm plans to order one, and you'd like to buy one of the SS
plates for $5.00, delivered, please send me an email to
gmcwiperman@bellsouth.net with the subject "Filler Plate". If I get 20-25
orders, I'll go ahead with the minimum order purchase.
Thanks,
Ken H.

Ken,
I just left the hole as is, eventually I want to make a custom dash panel
and I'll eliminate it.
Having said that at the rate I'm going I think I'll splurge and spend $5 for
the whole filler. ;-)
I trust you'll be bringing some to Amana?
Regards,
Rob M.

Ken,
I'm in need of the used original wiper switches.
We will purchase them for $30 if any are willing to part with them.
