How often is it recommended to change the Filter?
How Often to change the Tranny Oil????
Recommended Tranny Oil.
I was at the supplier today to buy new belts - I ordered Dayco.
He tried to sell me Goodyear belts. What say you???

When is the last time that you change the filter in your
transmission? If not since you owned then now is the time. Jim B
recommends the ATP B40 transmission filter as the one that he uses and
sells. If you cannot find it locally the by all means give Jim B a
call. Jim K sells the <http://www.appliedgmc.com/prod.itml/icOid/
714> filter. Contact him also!

The Manual X7725 Page 0-4 Paragraph 9 indicates that you should
change you fluid under severe condition every 6K miles and MPO is
every 12K to 18K miles is OK. I change mine every two years or so as
I do 6K to 8k miles a year. Others my have different opinions and that
is good too!

Any transmission fluid rated Dexron II or if you feel you need to
spend the big bucks get Mobil 1 or one of the other synthetics that
are available.
I use Dexron II as I change fluid more often.
