This past Tuesday we returned from our 10 day 1700 mile trip to Seneca Rocks WV, Williamsburg and Chincoteague VA then onto Hagerstown MD then back to Indy. Coach ran great with no issues to speak of except for the A/C cycling. Seems I might have a small leak somewhere. Need to investigate. Those of you who recall my previous post about radiator leaking just before our trip, well I added stop leak and it worked great. No leaks during the trip. Also burned about 1 1/2 qt of oil and although I wasn't really tracking mileage, the one time I checked it was about 8.5 mpg.
Can't wait to take the family out in her again. Camping trip in two weeks.

Mickey,
I used Bars "liquid aluminum" Put to full bottles in all at once. No leaks in 1700 miles. I will be installing the aluminum radiator at the end of the summer unless of course it starts leaking again.

Good report, Jon. It looks like you have things worked out pretty well. I have had good luck with radiator sealer in the past, but you are smart to be planning on replacing the radiator. The stuff doesn't usually work as a long term solution to leaks. The oil consumption seems about right for a stock engine. Mine varies for some reason. Sometimes it uses more oil than at other times.
Using the coach is fun, isn't it?

i have a new po radiator but it is not aluminum. The po was A great bugger taking care of this one.
I was so lucky to get this one, the roof inside was done new, the motor rebuilt and manny put in a new trans with
even a leak pipe out the top, new bags, new windshield, windows resealed, tires 2 years old, all good belts and hoses,
replaced steering sleeve, sensitive brake booster new, runs great, I got lucky here. I have about 10 grand in it so far. Happy camper.
the good and bad even out to 0. thank god. The brakes work great for now. I would like to put in the vacuum pump to make
the up hill cliff hanging runs i have to do in the santa clarita large natural elevation of the earth's surface rising abruptly from the surrounding level that can kill me without brakes. How can i get these brakes to work if stalled or with the gas tanks at
a critical angle to starve the fuel. I do not like testing the brakes when i go up there in 3 months and drive back and forth
a lot. I have a new extra vacuum pump, but i am not informed well about the vacuum tank. I cannot start new threads
for my email i use to type with is not the one i receive with sorry. I am off thread here. But if someone wants to start one for
me, it would be design of vacuum tank for brakes.

and all the great gmcers here that make this the most wonderful place on the net for those with a GMC or
dream of getting a real home some day that will always be there when the other homes get in trouble.
If the banks want to take your home in a gmc then you can run for it. great huh?
by the way i am not a nazzi.
