My nephew's ex-wife moved to the Aloha, OR area from Alaska. She had her
car shipped; it was supposed to be delivered to my brother-in-law's
house. The shipper called and said it had been in their lot for two
days, why hadn't it been picked up. Brother-in-law said it was supposed
to have been delivered to his address. Shipper agreed to deliver it to
North Plains. They did, we picked it up and drove it home. She drove up
here to return our car and pick up hers.
Her comment, "This isn't my car, where is my car?"
It didn't have any license plates on it, but the plate holder said
somebody or other sales in New York.
Wonder where hers is. Haven't been able to get hold of the shipping
agent, yet.
Shades of UPS.

It is probably headed to New York or still in Alaska riding around with a New York plate on it. In some villages up there no one puts a plate on a vehicle anyway. I borrowed a Pilot courtesy car at one place and it had no license plate on it. When I asked, the FBO said everyone knows who's car is who's so why put plates on them. There was no local cop and they had to fly in a state trooper whenever a real cop was necessary so no one was checking.
