Hello,
I am planning at some stage to fit a solenoid valve to turn off the main water fill if the water tank is above full. Not sure what pressure rated device i need to get. Can anyone suggest a good value please?.

cheers and beers

Steve,

City water pressure is seldom more than 70psi. Your coaches potable system was designed for that pressure (pretty much). So, if you get someplace with pressure higher than that, you should carry a regulator to limit it to that region anyway.

Rob did you notice your link is now wider, but still inserts a break when it wraps to the second line.
You don't like to use the forum ?

Don,

Thanks!

For some reason I don't get copies of all the emails I send in.

Next time you see this happen could you copy the message out of the Forum and email it to robmueller@iinet.net.au.

I like the email system as I get a dump of all the messages and can scan the subject quickly.

I guess I'm just used to a push system of email deliveries not a pull system.

Regards,
Rob M.

Steve,
A PO of my coach had an electric valve to allow filling the tank from the city water connection and he used a standard yard irrigation valve. They are made to handle lots of pressure and not expensive.

Hello Armand,
Thats something i would never have thought of. Will be visiting the local home store this weekend for yet some more GMC stuff > $$$$. I can look at the valves they have there. Had been thinking for a long time now, about a system that would prevent overflows whilst filling the tank from outside. Might be easy to get distracted or something, then have to clean up a mess. Having had tons of leaks in 'Aurora', it took some doing getting it dry and getting rid of the smell, from the damp floor... I am getting some new gauges that can be setup to basically trigger a device, at a certain level. So that should in theory, prevent any mishaps of that kind... I will post some pics, and stuff when i get it worked out. Seems to take forever getting stuff done, but eventually it will all come togeather. We hope to be in your neck of the woods, at some point. Would be nice to meet you guys.

cheers and beers
