I often find that drawers seem to open partially or more when I'm driving down bumpy roads (actually very common in Chicagoland as the state is broke and has no money to fix them).

Has anyone put childproof latches of some other sort of device on their drawers (not the ones on your body) to prevent or at least lessen this? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ken Henderson installed some nice push-button latches that look great.

George,

Double Trouble's PO installed Tot Loks on the four drawers in the galley; I
added them to the three drawers in the night stand.

IIRC I got them from Home Depot or Lowes.

Here's a link to some eBay sellers:

http://www.ebay.com/sch/Baby-Locks-Latches-/117027/i.html?_nkw=tot+lok

You want the ones with the little red "latch." When engaged it holds the
"tongue" in so the drawers will slide in and out as normal. When disengaged
the drawer is locked.

Regards,
Rob M.

I find that if I keep my belt tight, my drawers stay where I put them.

OH.

Drawers in my Norris upfit have the botom of the front recessed just enough that when they are fully closed, they drop in front perhaps 1/8 of an inch, and have to be lifted to open.  I suspect you could cut a recess along the bottm as wide as the cabinet front and have the same effect.
