I looks like what the PO lined my '78 with. It is glued under the floorboards and hatch cover. Seems to work and that coach is VERY quiet inside and out. (I am not sure that is the ONLY reason... just a lot of the reason.) I also see it was added inside the coach around the generator. I'm not sure about heat transfer but noise wise, it doesn't seem to work as well back there... on the inside. The way I understand it, being a "Radiant Barrier" it needs to be on the same side of the wall as the "source" to effectively reflect the "radiation" (heat/noise).
I'll see about stopping in at Home Depot and see if this is the same stuff.
If it is the same stuff, it has a fiber filled middle layer like a quilted blanket. You should keep it from were it gets soaked, and it is a pain to drill or to drives screws through.... it winds around the drill/screw.
As I do not KNOW what the stuff in the coach was, I had wondered about the "Fire" issues of the "stuff." I hope it is the "fire retardant" stuff.

Mike when drilling the material could you use a soldering iron to melt
through the material and would it cauterize around the hole. I did this
when I re carpeted my front compartment and set the seat frame on top of
the carpet.

I purchased a version of this for the attic in my house.
It is like heavy duty aluminum foil, maybe 1/64" inch thick.
We stapled it to the underside of the roof rafters from inside the attic.
This created an air pocket between the plywood and the foil.
I understand this helps it insulate against the summers heat.
Seems to work very well; will know more in July.
Put the shiny side toward the outdoors.

I'd love to hear what you think of it after you check it out and if possible
take some pictures of the stuff close up.

Rob, I just ordered some online. Have to pay tax on it, but shipping to my home is FREE. I'll be getting it in the next week or so, but will not install for about 6 weeks, so will wait till then to evaluate.
