I have a chance to buy...site unseen... Darren Paget's Aluminum Raised engine cover with heat and noise abatement blanket at a pretty reasonable price. I don't know what it looks like or how effective it is as a engine cover. Anyone out there that has one or knows of someone that has/had one? I did find one pic of it in photo site, but would like to see other pics of it.

Larry,
I bought one from Darren several years ago and it is great for
reducing engine noise and heat.
I had a home made wood raised one prior, and it belongs in the dump.

Larry,
Why did you get the raised cover? Got a Cad 500?
Thanks for the input.

Existing Alum. intake manifold from PO required raised Cover.
Original was Wood by Previous Owner.
Darren's products were all good, so I got his Alumn raised cover &
Have had no problems in 50K miles and 8 years of use.
