Hello,
After taking a height control valve off the GMC, i noticed it was made by Delco in Ohio. I assume they are the same for each side. Please does anyone know if you can still get these, and if so is there a part number for this. I assume given a part number, i could order one from Napa or somewhere. I know they are available from Applied GMC etc, but funds here are getting low.... As you all know these beasts eat $$$

cheers and beers

What makes you think they would be cheaper from NAPA or Delco than they would be from Jim Kanomata?

My experience has been that most things that Jim sells at a better buy.

Also, they are not available anymore from Delco. They are being rebuilt by Dave Lenzi and I believe Jim sells Dave's.

We are lucky that they are available at all.

And, as the saying goes, "when I don't have them I give them away".

Yes, Napa doesn't charge for postage but they do charge sales tax which is often as much as shipping costs.

You also have to pay for the fuel to drive to and from NAPA.

It's probably a toss up.

Go to our site under rear suspension.
We carry them in stock.
Auto suppliers do not carry them as they do not move fast enough for them.

Actually the same company in Ohio does still make them and Jim K. is one of their authorized distributors. You can also buy rebuilts from Dave Lenzi but you will have to send in your core. I have not compared the prices plus but you will get zinged for double postage by sending in you cores to Dave.

I'll bet that new and rebuilt ones, when you total everything up, come in at around the same price.

Good luck trying to find one through NAPA. Those people are never cheap and they have no idea what a GMC is.

Hello,
I am a little wary of NAPA they do not always know what the correct parts are for a 1977 GMC. Although they do have some replacment parts that one can get if in a jam. I am thinking towards new ones, i did notice in Jim K's Cat that he has new valves So i may take that route.

Many thanks to all who contributed to this topic

cheers and beers

Majority of the people have no clue as to how many parts we carry for the GMC.
I can say we carry all parts. Some have been dis continued, so we
supply used or refurbished units.
